Rainer Timm

Biography :

Rainer Timm, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Lund University. Rainer Timm received his Doctor of Science at the Technische University Berlin, Germany, in 2007. After that, he moved to Lund University, Sweden, where he became Associate Professor in Physics in 2015. Rainer Timm is vice head of the Division of Synchrotron Radiation Research, coordinator of the Master's program in Physics - Materials Science, and coordinator of the NanoCharacterization Labs at the NanoLund center for nanoscience. His research focuses on the characterization of semiconductor nanostructures using scanning probe microscopy and synchrotron-based methods, especially on the correlation of atomic-scale crystal structure, surface electronic properties, and device performance.
